01 — Sports Visual Systems

Athletes,
in Motion

ATHLETES.  IDENTITY.  MOTION.

A sports campaign is not one image. It is a system — photography, typography, texture, statistics and a graphic language that can be built layer by layer and set into motion. Two studies show the range: a full player visual system, and an editorial visual study.

Independent concept work celebrating the athletes. Not official team, league, or sponsor creative, and not commissioned. The Vinnie Shahid project is a personal work honoring my nephew.

Player Visual System

The graphic system assembles on screen — background, hero colour shape, oversized name, texture, the player cut-out, labels, statistics and accents — and resolves into the finished poster. The motion is the design thinking made visible, not an effect applied after the fact.

Basketball · Editorial Design · Motion

An editorial composition built from athlete compositing, a red / orange / black colour system, layered typography and texture — then reopened as motion so each element assembles into the finished Aces poster. It shows how a single key art becomes a moving system.
